Trinidad & Tobago Emergency Mutual Aid Scheme (TTEMAS) Introduces their New 2018-2020 Executive Team
TTEMAS is a mutual aid organization based in Point Lisas, the acronym TTEMAS stands for Trinidad and Tobago Emergency Mutual Aid Scheme. TTEMAS was established in 1983 and became a body incorporated by an Act of Parliament (Act No 8 of 2000).
The objective of Mutual Aid is to render assistance to member companies within the Point Lisas Industrial Estate and surrounding residential communities in emergencies; fire, environmental releases, disaster preparedness, emergency response training etc.
TTEMAS recently installed its new Executive Management Team at a special in vesture ceremony conducted by Nutrien’s Managing Director Mr. Ian E. Welch at the Nutrien Model Farm in Couva. The Executive was elected at the Organization’s Annual General Meeting held on March 28th, 2018 at National Energy Limited. This new executive will serve for the period 2018 to 2020, with Nutrien holding the Presidency position.
TTEMAS is re-launching a robust campaign to share an awareness and understanding of the benefits of emergency mutual aid management. The objective is to continue to build and strengthen a group of professionals dedicated to providing industrial emergency response preparedness support and response to stricken member companies.
In addition, TTEMAS seeks to continue to extend its membership to organizations and companies in other heavy industrial sectors as well as the light manufacturing industries across the country via its established zonal chapter areas in the East-West corridor, South West and South East Trinidad regions.
